Overtaking, me or him to blame

So, on Saturday I was involved in an organised race when an overtaking "incident" occurred and I was put at fault when I dont think I should have been.

I was behind going into a corner, mid corner the other guy got a little out of shape which meant his exist speed was slower than it should have been. We approached the jump with me carrying more speed and saw this as the ideal opportunity to overtake. As we hit the jump we were almost side by side, the front of my car next to the back of his. We hit the ramp, took off getting about 4 foot of air. Whilst in the air the cars connected whilst side by side and came to a tumbling fall, both requiring marshalls attention. Now, i saw this as a genuine racing incident with nobody to blame, however the race officials claimed i got an unfair advantage.

Twas indeed Broxtowe. Finished something like 6th in 2wd and 5th in 4wd. Was disappointed with 2WD as i qualified 4th (was on for TQ in 2 rounds but binned it), and got taken out in the first corner in each leg of the A final which put me down to last. No matter how good a driver you are you are never going to do much when you are down to last place in a 5 minute final.

Thats really not a bad result - I wasn't there but was led to believe there were a few former F1s in the field so don't beat yourself up. Best I have made in a decent event was finishing B1.... driving an original chain driven Optima, so that tells you how long ago that was!!!

Just waiting for my eldest to get a little more car control so we can start racing... he does ok with my 15x1 powered Lazer, but he is only 4!
