Well they need an experienced driver to replace Rosberg whilst getting Nico MK2 up to speed. No major surprises there.

I read that too... My guess would be a swap for Nico since Mercedes would like a german driver in a merc powered car.

I would think he's definitely not looking to change teams.

But I also think that the team are definitely looking to change drivers.

Which means Barri's out IMO. His only saving grace would be to become WDC but even then I still can't see him staying...

Could be a good fit, he's certainly got the experience and is driving very well still. Just as long as he doesn't get chippy about young Nico being groomed as the next big thing and start feeling like he's not getting the teams full focus....

Why would he be getting a seat fitting so early though? I imagine he won't be able to drive a Williams car until November at the earliest.

Actually, this could be a really good "last chance" for Rubens.

Williams are to be using their Flywheel based KERS next year. It could be very interesting.

Foam moulds are made first, then the negative is made, then the final piece is made in Carbon.

It is not a half hour "sit in the bin-bag" scenario like you will have in other formulae. The earlier it is done, the least hassle there will be when it comes to getting in the car for the first test. He will be back again to check the final seat for trimming and padding later.

Also to be honest, the fact that this year has happened at all for Brawn is verging on remarkable so for this year having Button and Barrichello has been great.

However, as a sucessful team (this is beyond doubt now for this year) surely to go forward they want atleast one young and hungry talent rather than having 2 relateively 'old timer' drivers.

I agree with oobster.....is too soon, they will not have a '10 spec chassis made yet so can't make seat

I reckon this is just a 'rumour' and in fact i suspect Rubens will stay at Brawn (i can't see the logic in them changing)

I was under the impression the technical regs for '10 are virtually the same as 09 (other than the refueling ban) so the basic Chassis design would be all but the same.

They could have one. There is no reason why they couldn't. The regulations are known for next year, the suspension and aero will be known factors. From the back of the seat forwards, the regs haven't changed. It is only the fuel capacity which has.

I agree that it could be a rumour, but it is a likely one. For sure
