Briatore vows to hit back and 'win'
Former Renault team boss Flavio Briatore has vowed to hit back at those who "betrayed" him in the race-fixing scandal.
The Italian received an indefinite ban from Formula 1 after being found guilty of having conspired to fix the result of the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.
Briatore will also not be allowed to participate in any FIA-sanctioned series or manage any Formula 1 drivers.
The 58-year-old, in a response to a selected group of Italian journalist, said he will eventually emerge victorious and have a "great party" to celebrate.
"I've been betrayed by my own world," Briatore was quoted as saying by the Repubblica newspaper.
"In the end I will win and, you'll see, we'll have a great party. It will be organized well and we'll invite all those people who have stayed close to me during these tough times.
"(This response) is just a matter of good manners, because I don't want to say absolutely anything. I'm not giving any quotes. I will talk only at the right time, assuming that they still allow me to talk.
"Look at the verdict the FIA has put online on Tuesday: it is not about me."
... despite what may or may not have happened last year in Singapore, I actually feel the Flav is one of the only guys who's come across as an F1 insider who's championed the needs and views of the fans and it was a shame to see him go in the way he did. I think it's time the whole of F1 was shook up and the breakaway series could have done that. Until The Spank and The Midget have been removed and the FIA has been completely rebuilt by Ari, nothing will ever change.
It's going to be an interesting 'winter season' and some lawyers are going to get well paid. Who ever said F1 was boring

And he's going to win as well. They've removed his ability to earn. Will be overturned.
He has fingers in quite a few pies so to force him to cut ties with all of them, indefinitely and with no 'hearing', is likely to back-fire on the FIA.

No Bernie said he should appeal via the FIA and he would be foolish to go through the courts.

He pressed the point, even though he admitted that he and Briatore have fallen out over the affair.
He did say it was too harsh and that Flavio should only appeal through the FIA.
He said he would not win in the civil courts and would be foolish to try.

He pressed the point, even though he admitted that he and Briatore have fallen out over the affair.
He said he would not win in the civil courts and would be foolish to try.

Compared to Pat Symonds'.. Alledgedly Pat came up with the plan and Flav went along with it.. There was a 4th person in the meeting, a "whistleblower" who turned down the idea, said it wasn't a good thing and distanced himself from the whole thing.. The other 2 went along with the idea...

I don't get this "he's got a case because you can't remove his ability to make a living" stuff.What about Police officers who get kicked out for inappropriate behaviour; doctors struck off for being unprofessional....do they get their jobs back because it is "removong their ability to earn a living"?
Also, it isn't actually removing Briatore's ability to earn a living....he can get another job in a different field.
