Why have Red Bull and Torro Rosso?

Well, they set up STR to "test" new drivers before putting them in RBR. Red Bull has been a victim of their own success with regard to their driver development program.

As for performance, STR certainly had it in the latter half of last season. Have we forgotten THAT win by Vettel at Monza already, and the subsequent blitzing into points finishes for the remainder of the season?

I think theyve been trying to offload it have they not? Its not exactly a turnkey operation like BMW though, they essentially need Red Bull to design their car for them.

Its the 'Red Bull Driver Training School'. If you're good in a Toro Rosso, come on over to Red Bull, like Mr Vettel. If you're not, get out and take your crying face back to some American series or something, like Mr Bourdais.

I always thought until this year Torro Rosso was liveried a bit more boldly.

Yep, been for sale for at least two years now.

I forgot about the impact on the sale of having no in house design team.

They should probably turn it into a GP2 or F2 team or something. Or even a LMS team.
