Right, i'm not one for slating anyone as a rule. And i've almost gone a whole season without mentioning it. But EJ winds me up.
Some of the stuff he comes out with is just plain unexplainable. And yes Eddie we know that you used to own an F1 team, perhaps the only reason you are there. So shoosh.
it's quite strange, because up until he started doing what he does now i quite liked him. I still appreciate what he has done in the past, but perhaps this line of work just isn't for him.
DC perhaps isn't much better, but he seems to have more of an inderstanding on the topics than EJ.
it's like a comedy double act sometimes.

I used to think he was a bit cool - back when he was 'the underdog' or 'the 4th team'- his cars were cool and he was in a band... but then he started showing up with DC on the BBC

head uncle that shows up every christmas.Agree with the above, DC might be a bit wooden, but i think with a bit more experience next year he'll warm up, Eddie on the other hand is just a complete cock!
I used to be a big fan and thought he'd be great on TV, but i've found myself using Sky+ for 10 minutes so i can fast forward past all his waffle, they seriously need to sort that out for next season, i haven't found anyone yet that still likes the guy after this season. what a cock!

His outstanding moment was when he stated that his 'source' had told him that Massa had received 'just a knock on the chin' and would be fine, despite the fact that nobody had been anywhere near him to tell him this.

I love the fact that Jake Humphries has taken to slagging Eddie off too, so both he and DC are putting in little digs and EJ has to stand there and take it, live on TV, not a thing he can do apart from try not to look disgruntled.
He's like the anti-Blundell. Equally incomprehensible, filling the airtime with gobbledegook, but this time using rambling circumlocutions and the occasional embarrassed fade to silence, rather than overworn cliches and badly mixed metaphors in a PC Plod style.
Shame of it is, neither of them are particularly informative, entertaining or endearing.

I'm currently half way through reading Eddie Jordan's autobiography. I was given it as a present back in March and put of starting it until now as I thought it would be hard going, but I'm pleasantly suprised. He's tells it as it is, even when it might make for uncomfortable reading and I guess that's why some people don't like his style. I have no doubt he is a very shrewd businessman and a real wheeler-dealer type, again another reason not to warm to him. I get the impression he's not someone you'd want to be friends with, but he's definitely someone to keep on side, if that makes sense.
I do think he brings something extra to the F1 team but I think the problem here is ego. All his life he has been fighting to get the best for his team, his family, get the best drivers etc, so he's had to essentially sell himself, and now he's a victim of his own success, he believes his own hype. He effectively gave up his F1 status when he sold the team, and now he is back in the paddock he doesn't seem to be able to adjust to being "just" a TV pundit. I have to say I admire the man for what he has achieved, and you certainly can't knock him in terms of bringing quality drivers into F1, but I feel he hasn't got to grips with his new status, hence the annoying remarks about "being back in my motorhome" etc.

Even so, I doubt very much the BBC will upset anything at the moment especially as their coverage has generally received the thumbs up from most people.
