Tough luck FlipFlop for once the FIA rules side with Lewis!! Personally i still think Lewis was unfairly robbed at spa, especially considering what Magnum did on the first lap at spa this year.

Plus Mclaren didn't appeal the 2007 result when it appeared that the williams were illegal cars in brazil and their disqualification would have bumped lewis to champ. They just let Magnum enjoy his championship like proper sportsmen!

I agree, its not that i don't like him or anything but that championship has been and gone, dust settle, time to move on.

Massa's 13th place had nothing to do with the safety car and more to do with the introduction of the Ferrrari signalling system.

It is a shame after the way he coped with the last corner vicotry of Lewis in Brazil.

It is a shame that he's got no chance of winning the WDC now that Santander wants Alonso to win and they've paid lots of £millions for that so Massa is the new Ferrari Rubino.

Maybe he should tell that to whoever authorised the Ferrari lights system. That is what lost him that race and the championship.

From watching the highlights of the 2005 Japanese GP on BBC Sport I discovered that there was actually a precedent for Lewis' penalty involving Alonso and Christian Klien.

Really disappointing to read that Massa has said this. There are far too many other things that would have changed had the result for the Singapore race been different. One thing for certain, McLaren would have had a very different strategy in Brazil. But it would not have included a traffic light system for pit-stops.

That would be interesting to see but then there also precedents for the decision going the other way, schumi overtaking pedrosa in 06 (sorry i forget which race, maybe hungary, can look it up)

His race in Singapore was over when he drove off with the fuel hose surely. I like Felipe but this taking things a bit far. Lewis won at Spa fair and square, funny Felipe didn't mention that. Too much of the past is being dragged up again, less politics more racing.

Watch the classic grand prixs on the BBC Sport website, specifically the 2005 race. Alonso has to let through Klien in the same style of incident as at Spa. Sets a solid precedent imo.

Have seen it since but didn't the stewards change their minds and made them shuffle back, ie Alonso initially had to let Klien through and then Klien had to let Alonso back through? So, it's not a precedent?
