Which F1 Brit do you support??

Since Button has dominated this year, most threads have turned into 'Button V's Lewis' and I find myself backing one or the other, which is CRAZY as I support both of them! I was over the moon last year when Lewis won, and I am loving this year for Button!

JB didn't dominate this year, Brawn did, and due to a huge technical advantage. Next year the rest will hopefully catch up and things should get more exciting.

I do support both. But i support Lewis that little bit more. His driving style and even slightly his persona. I like to see aggression in racers and just think Lewis can push the car over the limit and bring it back. He just seems to get that little bit out of the car. Whereas Jens is more of a smooth driver, can look after tyres extremely well which could well benifit him next year with no refuelling. I'm still waiting to see them both on the same podium.

I support both Hamilton and Button, but generally pay more attention to the former.

They are very different personalities but both seem very grounded and easygoing so I find nothing negative in either , god forbid we ever produce a driver like Raikonnen or Jacques Villeneuve , so dull for any interviewer who has the unenviable job of getting anything out of them. I think we can count ourselves very lucky with our current duo.

I support hamilton out of the two i think that hes a better driver tbh, but I also think Kimi raikkonen is very good and I hope that he goes to Mclaren next year with Lewis.

I don't think he's got anything at the minute but I definitely wouldn't rule it out, i'm certainly hoping he gets another drive though!

Trying to keep it on topic here, So i'll answer the question and not try predict next season or whatever.

I personally prefer Hamilton. Until he came into F1 I had little more than a passing interest in the sport. For some reason Button just really grates me. BUT, he's a good driver, as he has proved this year.

I'm a flag waving Brit ~ I support both and have had a few quid on both occasionally throughout the season.... spreading bets on points finishes, podiums and wins ..... often backing both in the same race depending on how they perform in qualifying. I broke my rule on betting after qualifying last weekend. Trying to beat the odds, I placed largish bets on Button to finish in the points in Brasil and also had a nice few quid that the drivers championship would be sewn up there too...before qualifying...

Imagine how I felt after qualifying in that rainsoaked Brasil to see both Button and Hamilton so far back on the grid.. done me dough there .. but, the two of them came up trumps....

Well done... two Brit WDCs on the grid next season ..... that's something you don't see every day ... year ... decade even ....

I prefer Button simply because he seems more down to earth and, despite years of driving an under performing car and staring redundancy in the face at the beginning of the season, has persevered where other drivers would have mentally broken long ago.

That said, Lewis is a relatively new kid on the block. As he matures, I'm sure he'll develop more human qualities that we can all identify with. Drivers' personalities seem to get better with age in my opinion. Look at Rubens!

Both, but prefer Hamilton as I see him as the better talent and more likely to bring more success. Probably (been able to) follow his career a bit more - there's been a lot of build-up by Hamilton from my perspective!

I like both their styles on track. While Hamilton is already well proven, JB has had few chances to prove he's a great overtaker and hard charger until this year and after being brought up on an era full of these types of driver - Mansell, K. Rosberg, Watson, Lauda, G. Villeneuve, Alesi etc. - these are the qualities I prefer, as it's simply the most entertaining stuff watch.

I watch racing to be entertained.

It's fortunate that two of the most entertaining drivers in F1 currently are British!* Maybe it's a British bulldog thing?

But the poll is like asking which British 1500m althete you prefer at the Olympics - whoever is most likely to win Britain a Gold medal at the time! - and if they're equal, like Coe and Ovett, then I just hope to see a good honst scrap between them!

Off-track personality couldn't be more irrelevant to me and I disrespect those who do value such attributes on many many levels.

Any Brit in F1. Be it Hunt, Watson, Mansell, Herbert, Hill, Coulthard, Hamilton, or Button. If I was alive at the time, I'd have supported Hawthorn, Collins, Moss, Surtees, Hill, and Stewart (and others I have momentarily forgotten). In much the same way that I have always supported our GP bike racers of recent years such as McKenzie, McWilliams, Hodgson, Stalker, Haslam L, JT, Bradders, Chaz Davies, Scott Redding, and Danny Webb I care not what they are driving / riding. I just care that this country has a representative in top flight racing.

This country is the home of motorsport. Maybe not the home of the best drivers or riders (although many of the above prove it wrong), but top class racing needs (IMVHO) Brits in the mix whoever they are.

Button over Hamilton but only because he's local and a friend of a colleague of mine. I support racing mostly though!

Why is it a 'useless poll?' 116 people have voted so far,& its suprising how many people have voted for button OR lewis,not both. That is what i wanted to know, quite a few have voted 'neither' which is nice!
