Why can't Bernie get some of these?

Anyone who's attended an F1 race in Max & Bernie's megabucks F1 circus will know it's impossible to tell what's going on once the cars start lapping tail enders. It's also very hard to tell which car in a particular team is which. With all those millions poured into and made out of F1 you can't help wondering why Bernie's never adopted this tried and tested system for the benefit of fans who pay big money to attend his races,



This tower shows the first 20 cars individually and then the two lines at the bottom cycle through cars in place 21 or below. In this photo the leader is car 48 shown at the top of the tower. At the time the photo was taken the bottom two lines show that 23rd place was car 16 and 24th place was car 96.

Because F1 cars don't run on ovals, where everyone can see them.

I've never got what those towers meant, so in F1 it would look a little more formal with numbers 1-22?

Rather than the Nascar (I assume) numbers all over the place.
