I've got a picture of an ex shumi benetton in my mates garage if that counts.. it does look funny surrounded by all the usual crap piled in a garage..

Shocked.

The ex had a tour of the Jaguar F1 Factory and despite them having sensibly ( )arranged it for the day after the cars had been shipped off to the next race they were told to hand in all phones and cameras before the factory tour and were warned that anyone seen or believed to be taking photos would be ejected sans equipment on the spot.

Same here. Had a tour of the Williams factory around 8 years ago and we were not allowed to take cameras in.

I still recall the surprise at the (lack of) weight for a wheel, waving it around in one hand like it was made of paper.

If ever you watch "The Factory" - ie behind the scenes at Williams - you will see nearly all the backgrounds are blurred out on the pictures to hide any "sensitve" material

I haven't got any pictures, but did a tour of the BAR factory shortly after Reynard had gone pop. The site seemed quite empty, generally and the factory space BAR were using wasn't that huge.

The CNC machine room was pretty special, though.

I've been around the Jordan Factory many moons ago (when it was Jordan) and that actual workshops are not that big. The TOMs factory in Norfolk which I went to in the same year was bigger.

if you go to Sutton images and search for factory there are loads on there if you scroll through the pages.. some old and some new.

I've got a few from a F1 test day at Silverstone a few years back - we were in the Red Bull garage but got a peak over the divide into Toyota too.

Having just glanced at them - shows how things change: Kimi was still at McLaren and Red Bull were on Michelin tyres!

And I took a van full of cameras on to their site to do some work a few years ago
I wasn't allowed to take the video tapes away tho

not quite F1 (well, up to date F1!) I've also got a shedload of picces from a workshop that deals in historics - things like pre-war Alfas, Lancia-Ferrari D50s etc..... Some stunning cars and what they can do there is wonderful (new straight 8 Alfa engines to allow the boys to play with their (expensive) toys without lunching the original lump!)
