What are the collective thoughts?
Campos, in my view, stand a reasonable chance of putting together a car that will be respectable - he is a well rated driver. No doubt he will bring some good Brazilian sponsors with him (given the name) - and attedning the Brazilian GP would be epic next year with even more local drivers.
I would suggest that if they can find the right 2nd driver; someone with current circuit knowledge and tyre knowledge that he stands a fighting chance. Pair him with Trulli maybe...?
I hope they can bring him the car to meet his aspirations (ie reliable, simple to setup, capable) - 2 yrs in a low performing, mid to late grid car; outdriving the car to demonstrate that it isn't his name that qualifies him to be in F1?

There's a good pool of redundant F1 people at the moment, so they're not short of employing people with the knowledge, experience and skills required. Good move all round i reckon....he's certainly shown a good turn of speed and maturity in lower formulae (remember he had less experience than those he's raced and beat).....and campos are getting dallara to design they're car, so should have decent know how.
Only thing i would say, is i reckon manor are gonna be the strongest new team so maybe that would've been the smarter move from his perspective.

Like all the other new teams, their best hope (especially with the testing restrictions) is recruiting at least one driver (and plenty of engineers) with previous experience - as someone has said, there should be no shortage of guys from the teams that have down sized (although how this will play out for the teams based elsewhere..... i.e. not in UK)
If Senna is as good as his uncle has famously predicted, he should do okay, although judgement of anyone in the new teams is going to be difficult unless there is a good reference point, so first he has to beat his team-mate, whoever it ends up being!

Wishful thinking. He was chasing most of the free seats in the paddock last year and the year before without success, but with money...He'll bring Embratel to the table and maybe Banco Nacional - useful money to a latin team....

One year to learn how to drive an F1 car and gain some experience before moving on to an established front running team (assuming he performs) seems like a sensible choice.
It still seems a bit of a mystery which drivers are going to fit into what team so I think it's a good move for Senna and good for the team.
I think having the Senna name is as much of a curse as a blessing so hopefully it'll be a good stepping-stone for him towards the big players. Even if the team isn't too successful he should still be able to show what kind of a talent he really is.

I don't rate Bruno Lalli / Senna at all highly. I've seen him trying to do demos in old F1 cars at the Goodwood Festival of speed over the past 3 or 4 years, all of his efforts have been laughable. He's never really impressed me in the junior formulae or at GP2 level either. I think it's a case of trying to live up to a name, and he's proved he can't. I think Campos is the right sort of team for him to prove just how bad he really is without sullying the Senna name or the rep of a proper team too much.

I was impressed with Senna in GP2. I was there at silverstone and he pushed lap after lap. He'd brake later than others and accelerate earlier. He came runner up to someone that had been in GP2 for years, before it was GP2. I'm looking forward to seeing him next season. You've got to remember though he was out of racing for some years. Only starting to race cars at 18. But he's in a new team where theres likely to be an experienced driver along side him. His main aim will to be to out perform his team mate. If he does that he might look for a more competitive seat.
