Pay TV. A sure way to knock down the number of viewers.

If it's not on terrestrial TV, it might as well not be happening (unless it's already a national sport - like soccer).

Yeah I've been watching it as well, proper rallying, stages in the dark, loud cars (S2000), mud, gravel, spectators in bobble hats!

The Eurosport onboard camera shots are superb, giving a good idea of just how fast they are flying through the forest (a lot of 5th/6th gear stuff). Also the commentary was good with Robert Reid joining in, and a few times where they said ok we'll stay quiet now just listen to the in car. It makes the WRC program with irrelevant celeb' guests and very little action shots look like a pantomime.

Good to see Jonny Greer getting 4th place with a great drive. The Greer's bought my road car last year (evo 9 GT) to build up a new car if ircurrent one got damaged, so have been looking out for my old car reg on the stages but guess its still just the back up car..

Dissapointing at the lack of S2000 cars, they make everything else look timid in comparison.

I was there for the whole event. Thought it was excellent in all respects except the really poor entry - less than 20 cars going by in the Saturday afternoon if you exclude the Army landrovers.

Being penultimate round next year should help that, plus I hear it may be part of the European Rally Champ too. Hope so, I'll def. go back.

Soccer does have highlights adn Live games still free to air. Most sports that go Pay Tv don't and to my mind suffer from lack of exposure.
