Any news on Anthony Davidson for F1 2010?

Is there any news on him getting a seat? I was just thinking if the Prodrive buying Renault turns out to be a real deal then he may have a shot at the 2nd seat with links to Prodrive from the Aston Martin Le mans project.
The only worry is it seems most new drivers are bringing a big budget, not sure he has one? He would be a big miss from 5 live too.
I know Ian Davidson is on here....If your reading this can you give us an inclination if things are looking good for 2010?

Most of the rumours seem to put Fauzy into the reserve/test driver role, I think Trulli is still a likely one though? Probably JV/JT with Fauzy testing.I'd like to see Ant back in F1, i dont think hes truely had a fair crack at it yet.

.There are still options open, of course. As Martin Brundle once said something like it's musical chairs and when the music stops there won't be enough seats for everyone.
As for being out-performed by Sato in the Aguri, technically he was because Taku brought home the points. And on paper that's how it'll look. But Takuma had done several seasons of Formula One and it was Ant's first full season. He out-qualified Taku fairly convincingly and had some stunning races in a year old car, with a complete lack of funding and development. Without forgetting of course, that team was designed for Takuma...not for Ant
I'll clearly be biased, but people in the know believe as I do that he should be in Formula One, based on his driving abilities alone. Unfortunately that's not always enough, as there are also other drivers out there who are fantastic but won't even get the chances like Ant has had.

Considering he was about 12 when we did our race instructor's induction at Silverstone Drive at the turn of the century (love that phrase!), I'd say that he's just over 21 now. Well 30 then.I still reckon he should have had a proper crack at the whip. His speed in testing (with Honda) was utterly quick, but that doesn't translate to race pace, eh Luca?
The only problem is that he'll be with one of the new teams, and unless they can be up there straight away, I feel that his reputation would be damaged.
There's more to being a racing driver than F1. In fact it's been shown in many areas that (some) F1 driver's often can't cut the mustard in other "lesser" formulae because they've lived in a cotton wool lined closet of technology, and when they had to drive the car themselves, it's proved too much for them.
Saying that, I'd still love to see Michael Scumsucker in a NASCAR.
