2010 British GP Tickets on sale

What do people think of general admission?

We paid £139 each for a 3-day ticket seating at stowe last year(2008),next year £195,ticket prices should be coming down not going up

If people are prepared to pay it. And I believe they are. Then it's a fair price.

Thing is i HAVE to be prepared to pay it, what other choice do i have? Even if it was £500, If i don't pay i'm not teaching them a lesson, and all that happens is i miss out on seeing the GP.

If i pay the extortionate price they're asking for then i'm paying way over the odds, yes i'll enjoy myself, but could i have more enjoyment for that price, dam right i could.

Really not sure what to do now, would absolutely love to go, but not sure i can actually justify that price.
I don't blame Silverstone, i personally think its one of the finer venues on the calender, and if you think our facilities are crap, check out Monza, shocking shocking place. Overall i blame Bernie, why exactly should it cost £12m to host a GP anyway?

So which circuit will they race on...the 2009 version or the new propsed one...ie the one that does without Bridge and Priory

If they set the price too high and don't sell enough tickets. That will indeed teach them a lesson. So long as it basically sells out they'll keep putting the price up. And why wouldn't they.

How the hell is Monza worse off than the wind battered dump that is Silverstone? At least Monza has some shelter from the winds and the food is edible but expensive instead of inedible but expensive

a good alternative is hungary. the general admission ticket gives you a good view fromthe back of the ciruict and you can fly out there dead cheap, find a reasonably cheap hotel even during GP weekend (or camp with the Germans at the circuit!) and still get change from £350 including beer money!

Should be the normal one, the new version is for MotoGP.

Saw these were on sale as soon as I heard the announcement on the news. This clashes with the Le Mans Classic weekend which kind of sorts me out, I'll be at Le Sarthe soaking up the atmosphere at sunrise instead of sitting on the A34.

Just bought two 3 day tickets including grandstand for Copse on Sunday.
And while he'll never admit it, (mainly because he's a 70 year-old Yorkshireman) I think I've just made my dad's day.

Yup, we went General Admin this year to Monza and it was fine. Nice crowd, easy access, free bus, cheap train, multilingual staff; even the toilets were fine.

I'd like to take the Mrs & the two kids to Silverstone just once so they could experience a GP.

That'll be £414 just to get in to stand on a grassy bank them (quite possibly in the rain - done that before )

Or £629.20 for 4 of the cheapest grandstand seats.

Sorry, but that's bonkers money for what's on offer.

they are trying to get the new "Arena circuit" finished in time for 2010. If not then it will be the last time that the "GP" circuit is used (Bridge and Priory.)

Tis fine if you get there fairly early. Last time we went Dad and I pitched up the chairs at the Becketts/Maggots/Chapel complex and had a brilliant view.

Not for me thanks. I'd prefer to combine a GP with a holiday and im not holidaying in England.
