Bernie Ecclestones Private Jets... help!!
Discussion
Right,
I have been reading "THE POWERBROKERS - THE BATTLE FOR F1'S BILLIONS" by Alan Henry. On page 86 he talks about Bernies 3 private jets and their respective registrations and says that Bernie has a "wry sense of self-deprecating humor"...
N2FU - 1990 Learjet
N12FU - 1994 Learjet
N999BE - 2001 Falcon
Alan Henry then writes - "Think about them all. Very carefully"...
This is reallt starting to annoy me now, apart from the obvious possibilty with the "FU", what am I missing on these?!

Apart from, as you say, the FU2 and of course the BE, I'm flumoxed. And I didn't have to think all that carefully.I have been reading "THE POWERBROKERS - THE BATTLE FOR F1'S BILLIONS" by Alan Henry. Either you and me are a bit slow or else Henry is.
Self deprecating eh? That makes it universal.

I assume you are referring to the TV trucks (aka Bakersville), I have seen many pictures of them and you are correct they have consecutive registration numbers and are lined up in order.Myself, I think it a nice touch. F1 is big business and the sponsors pay big money to be involved, Bernie like to see things done properly. Not that much effort in consecutive registration numbers and lining them up.
With regard to the private jet numbers I have no idea as I don't do flying!

Acerbic, grouchy, anal and picky yes, but his sense of humour hasnt changed much.
You obviously don't know too much about flying or methinks you would have made the other choice.
5 auxilliary power units in formation doesn't really justify the radio callsign "formula one".
Still, all the while you dither along getting in the way of "real jets" you can console yourself that you have more time to ingest the toxic cabin fumes the beast is (in) famous for.Maybe that's why poor Bernies brain seems a bit addled at times ?
Nah mate , take the white one, even if the Frogs made it.
