I translated the story on the Finnish website, apparantly they'll officially announce it when they've signed both drivers. My understanding is that they're waiting to see what Heidfeld is going to do, he's holding out to see if the Schumi rumours are BS as we all know he's Merc's next choice.

I hope all the good publicity he has received from his races at the end of the season have helped him to get some sponsors together for a chance of a drive.

If he does go to Sauber then it will make the season more interesting, lets just hope that the car is semi competitive.

Toyota have already gone on record to say they will be working hard to get their Japanese drivers a race seat, so i don't think money will be a problem for Kobayashi. Fingers crossed, he deserves another season based on his drives last year.

Personally if I were Lotus I may of been tempted with Kobayashi rather than Kovalainen.

Hope the guy gets a drive with Sauber.

Fair play to the lad. As mid-season F1 rookies go, he made Grosjean look like a total amateur, despite having been comprehensively out-performed by him in GP2. Should add some spice to the mid-field, although hopefully Sauber will have kept up their development from the tail-end of last season. They looked to have a convincing package by Brazil.

This is great news, a raw talent racer driving next year should create some great mid-field battles - now there's points down to #10 there is extra incentive too smile

Good news, and hopefully he wont let the other drivers having words with him get too him too much.

I really hope so, for a few seasons they've had potential now and they need to keep up the pace or they'll end up at the tail end of the field.

Great news, 2010 really is shaping up to be a good season. +1 to hoping the car is at least a little bit competative...

Good point. Well if he gets a drive in a decent car i'll be pleased. He was a bit of a breath of fresh air this year when he appeared. Ruffled a few feathers too which was good.

Great news! I'm looking forward to some more displays of testicular fortitude by him next season.
