most notable for the stuff he has passed, Lovely 935k6 (i think) in there, a car far quicker than a procar M1 in its day. but what is the blue car with 2 white stripes at around 4m20?

the 935 was the Kremer "Vaillant" Porsche 935K2 driven by Bbob Wollek in 1977.
at 4:20min the blue/white is a DeTomaso Pantera Group4

There was 2 of them in the classics race before the Nurburgring 24h race. So cool.

Mind you the most entertaining was an old Merc saloon doing powerslides around the 1st chicane.

pretty sure the Kremers in 77 were standard 935's their development version K3 with that rear wing set up arrived in 1979.

Yes you are right, I initialy thought the blue car was an Alpine A310 but it is the DeTomaso.

The flame outs from the other M1 are spectacular given its a normally aspirated motor.

Saw these babies ridden in anger ~ unforgettable with no less a pilot than S.M.B Hailwood on board.

Great days gorn forever.

The rider in this vid is Luigi Taveri ~ former works Honda rider ~ he rode over my left foot on his works Honda in the paddock ~ long time ago ~ not washed it since ... biggrin

What's the blue saloony/coupe type thing he follows through the first few corners? Bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing, flying past a couple of Porsches.

Mrs k & I were at Oulton Park for a BSB round back in 2006 and there was a 250-6, 3 lap demo run between races. We were, at the time, viewing on the inside of Druids, and we could hear that little Honda rounding Shell Oils hairpin at the opposite side of the track! Hair-on-end does not come close to describing the noise when it went past. Just magnificent.
