Anyone been published in the Motorsport press?
Discussion
I once was commissioned to write an article for Cars and Car Conversions. Got paid £350, but that was in 1993.
I had been talking to Martin Sharp, the editor and he asked me to do it. Like most things in life, its not what you know, its who.

From a historic point of view, Motorsport Magazine is probably the best one to aim for. Some very good writing in there.
That's kinda what I'm aiming at. I get the feeling (as was mentioned above) that you have to have a lot of contacts to get anywhere, for research or publishing.I have had a variety of articles published both here in the UK and abroad, usually in the business sections of the media about the role of sponsorship within motorsport and technology. You either need to speak to the journalists directly or start writing your pown pieces for magazines and trade journals before going directly to publishers and editors.
