New F1 season... already getting excited

Is it just me but for the first time in a number of years I am getting very excited by the coming season... and it's only the start of Jan.

I think it is probably due to Mickeys return but it does add a huge amount of credibility to the coming season.

I don't really have any favourites to win

Things to look forward to

1/ return of Massa
2/ Button v Hamilton
3/ schueeeyyy
4/ Alonso in a ferrari
5/ another uninterrupted season with BBC coverage
6/ Seeing Brundles new necklace (no doubt won in a xmas cracker)
7/ Pity that Kers is still about
8/ Lotus are back (shame they signed Kovalainen though ...wish it was kimi)
9/ Theres a british grand prix
10/ New teams
11/ Kobayashi in a Sauber

Deffo going to be a few wars going on within teams,expect lots of broken front wings!

I wouldnt bet against MSc,you get the impression that he and Brawn know something we dont.

agreed.. seeing as brawn just ran a team that practically handed one of his drivers the title ... hopefully mercedes don't go in all heavy handed and go all vorsprung on it....

Do feel huge sympathy for Honda... must be a few execs there that have fallen on their sword...literally

Don't fancy Mclaren chances for some reason..I think their season will be all about who is top brit... but then you just never know with all the car changes

Another bonus... no frickin Mad Max...

that alone is a season to celebrate

its hard for me to say this as a die hard honda man, but good riddance, the board meddled too much in the teams affairs for them to succeed, and even if they hadnt pulled out, they wouldnt have won anything as the honda engine was easily the worst on the grid, which is a rare thing for a honda.

The OP in that thread seemed to already be enjoying F1 despite the numorous troubles, shame hanging over teams from previous years, inconsistancy in punishments again and almost the worst overtaking figures in 20 years. Topped off by the BBC papering over the cracks and trying to convince us that glitzy settings are as important as on track action.

The op in this thread is looking forward for the first time in years and I know what he means. Personally I have hope every year that consistancy in punishments will come about, cheats will get significant race bans, but not vindictive punisments or complete let offs.

Some irony that Brawn and Schuamcher are back together with a squeeky clean image as their old buddy Flav lies in the gutter.

Im looking forward to this season. 

Especially Michael Schumacher returning as I'm too young remember him before really but have heard lots about him and would like to see how good he is.

I hope Barrichello gets on at Williams. Would like to see him top again. But I'm not sure he has that much of a chance with the car this time. 

Am interested in seeing how Kobayashi does with Sauber, I think he has good skills, especially in defending his position and overtaking. He's also only young and I want to be driving in F1 when I'm 18 and am starting karting in a few weeks

I will be watching every race and practise again this year and eating the foods from the countries like last year. I can't wait.
