Ibis hotel Rugby might be one that doesn't get full as quickly, it might be a little far though.

Try the Green Man premier inn on the A43 or the travel lodge at Towcester, neither are far away but I would think that they may be booked up already, worth a try!

Hire a motor home?

My neighbours company & they help me out from time to time so I carry their logo on my race car.

There are also travellodges in Buckingham (About 10 minutes drive maximum.) and at the services for the M40 junction with the A43. (again about 10 minutes drive.) Last year I stayed in Milton Keynes for a few races, lots of hotels there. (Holiday inn express, Holiday inn etc.)

If it's 20 miles you've probably got loads of places you can try in Northampton.

Try the Campanile, it's the right side of Northampton, about 15 minutes drive in normal traffic...

The Cartwright Arms in Aynho was a nice place to stay and not too far from Silverstone.

There's a Holiday Inn Express one junction down (about a mile and a half) on the M1. That might have room still for GP weekend. You'll find most places in the localality are already full though I should think.

Hilton Hotel Junc 15 Northampton.

Used by the Teams, VIPs,crew and certain drivers, evening meal times can be a bonus and you would need a camera just for the carpark!

Towcester and Northampton would be the places I would look. not stayed in any hotels locally though as im just down the road from Silverstone. further afield Bicester might be worth a look.

I stayed in the 'Milton Keynes Hotel' on the A422 near Deanhanger on Wednesday. Do not, under any circumstances, follow my lead.
