Hi there,

Making two trips to the Autosport show, once today for press day and again on Saturday with some of the lads from work.

As usual the lighting in the NEC was bloody hard work I hate it with a passion and it makes taking decent photos really hard as your constantly changing the settings.

Here are some of my pics from today, bit of a mixed bag from road cars to old rally cars.

Firstly the road cars and lets start with a very pretty Alfa 8C - looks stunning in yellow

Gumpert Apollo with a bit of K&N advertising

Lexus LFA - the one on show is a prototype and a little rough round the edges

Porsche 997 Turbo MkII complete with centre lock wheels

Finally a Pagani Zonda F Roadster in a very understated Navy Blue

Also on show was the Noble M600, a Lamborghini LP640SV, and a smattering of Lamborghini Gallardos.

Now on to the race / rally cars

Peugeot 205 T16, part of the historic rallying display

Lotus 211 GT4

Caparo T1000 - part of a new one make series in 2010

New Chad 430 Scuderia for the 2010 British GT

Thorneys new shape M3 CSL Cup car

Stunning Lotus Evora Cup - one of my favourite cars of the show

Ford Focus WRC

Revealed today for the first time the all new Ginetta G40 racer

The one you've all been waiting for the new Porsche 911 GT3-R

New JMW Aston Martin Vantage GT2 for this years Le Mans Series

Another debutant today was the new 'Pirtek' Vectra for Andrew Jordan in the BTCC

Thanks for looking.

Regards

Tim

I love the Peugeot 205 T16. Awesome car. For what its worth i think that the Group B days were by far & away the greatest days of world rallying.

Fabulous.

The only pic listed that doesn't have a caption although I suppose it is self-explanatorybiggrin

With many of the cars at the show costing an arm and a leg, the Evora is 120 grand, is the Ginetta G40 the least expensive there? £24,999 I believe.

AND note it is taxed and road registered, so are we going to get a road version from Tomlinson at last?

Hi there,

All pics taken with a Canon EOS 40D with a 18-55mm IS Canon kit lens. Jessops external flash and a bit of photoshop to tweak the colours and lift the darkness.

Hope this helps.

Tim

Bloody Typical! You try and turn up with a nice car that stands out like a bright yellow F355 Spider, and then someone and shows you up with an in your face F430 GT2 race car!!!!

Ye just cant win!
