USF1 - Second Driver?

He might be ok in other formulae but surely two rookies is a bad step? Surely even Scott Speed would be a better bet...

In their first year they are only going to be a back-of-the-grid team, so it doesn't really matter.

So the team that was supposed to be all American now has an Argentinian, maybe a Spaniard, and no sign of a car (broken nosecone excepted). Good job, Go Team America!

This team is a joke.

With the US name behind them, they should have had avery healthy budget.

Youtube/Google have enough cash to get the team sorted.

Its by not means easy, and money does not equal sucess ala B.A.T however, the current set-up is a shambles.

The quicker teams like USF1 and Campos kick the bucket, proper teams can get a slot like Prodrive, Stephan (spelling?) GP etc can have a proper shot at it.

F1 does not need new teams just to boost numbers, fill back of the grid slots, it needs teams who can score points.

b) lanch a proper car
c) put at least one American driver in a seat

There is of course one big problem with naming a second driver. That would mean committing to producing 2 complete cars.

Call me a skeptic but it seems USF1 only got a place because they might attract more TV viewers from the US?

Fairly useless without measurements. Useful to reverse engineer your own solutions if there is anything radical in the design... Speaking of which, where are the radical designed bits? Have they put those wheels into the picture to hide the square ones they are actually going to use?

Which is all well and good until the US viewers realise their team is st, and turn it back over to their 'World' competitions where only Americans can win.

Anyone who has competed in Formula student will know this situations.

Having finished CAD dos not mean you have finished the car!!!!!!

Our lecturers were constantly shout that at us.... wasn't until we actual did it that we realised how right they were.
