Jalopnik have a link to quite a few hi-res Porsche posters that have been released through the years which are copyright-free, so you can go and get wall prints made from Tesco without any pangs of guilt (because we all respect image licence laws, don't we
).

Great Posters and show how design changes over the years
Dont expect too much size wise the images are pretty tiny and res up to about a4
anything above that and the boundries are being pushed for quality.
A tip I use often is too print the image at 6x4 ish, print via a very high quality inkjet/or lab. Then re scan the image
with a good high res scanner, bit of photoshopping smoothing any jpeg artifacts (blockiness), usually you can then get a fairly decent A3/A2 canvas printed, canvas is good as it hides any defects within the weave.
I will have a bash in the studio tomorrow see what the results are like

Even though it shows red Xs, if you go to full size for each image and 'save target as' you'll get the image no problem.Edited by zac510 on Tuesday 16th February 18:34

Erm … I hate to say this, but Jalopnik are being very naughty boys there. Content of a press photo library is not ‘copyright free’.
Copyright rests, as always, with the content creator. In this case, the designers of the posters. They may have contractually agreed to pass copyright to Porsche, their client … but that’s as far as it goes.
Porsche’s press site says: “All information, videos and photographs may be used only for journalistic purposes.”
It also says: “The text, image, video, sound, and all other information published here is copyright by Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Germany. It is not to be reproduced wholly or in part without prior written permission of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG.”
When you sign up as a member of the press and Porsche have checked your credentials, they send you a statement to the effect that you have permission to reproduce their images etc.
Not that they’re going to come after anyone for printing these out and sticking them on the garage wall … but they may well send a lawyer round to speak to Jalopnik.
