or if you want to head abroad there's some good events at Spa which can be driven to easily from Calais
Seconded: Lots of things on throughout the year, a lot of which is free to enter, and if you havent been - you NEED to see Eau Rouge in the flesh!
Added bonus of having around 800 belgian beers to choose from
I went to the DTM at Zandvoort a couple of years ago and it was a great experience. good atmosphere with loads of decent support races and pretty cheap for a 3 day pass with paddock access and grandstand seat. its also just up the road from the hook of holland port which makes it easy to access from the uk. one to consider maybe.....
The ONLY trip to do in 2010 is the Monaco Historic GP....1-2 May 2010. All of the glamour of the Grand Prix, none of the attitude. Way more sophisticated, much cheaper and the people are so much more genuine.
Good, food, great hotels, easy to fly down and back not silly money and the cars / racing is just fantastic. Open pits too!
