esp like the co driver sitting on the engine and controlling the throttle body - assume the throttle cable snapped !?

Brilliant, they must must must MUST get this level of drama back into top flight Rallying.

Great choice of music too, must download War of the Worlds sometime.....

First, some of what was shown there wasn't "top flight Rallying"; for instance, that Volvo Amazon was a classic club rally in Sweden IIRC. But it was a nice car having a big shunt on a rally smile

It is hard to know what "drama" one can put back into WRC without removing some of the safety that we've all taken for granted. I personally have nothing against that - so long as everybody proceeds in an informed manner - but it is hard to go back in life.

The closest I can come to squaring the circle is to ditch pace notes from all WRC events, which would mix things up a bit and reintroduce a much-needed edge to proceedings.
