Right so the main point everyone has missed. Which is the main selling point of the app as far as I'm concerned, is that you can see where everyone is on track at all times, which isn't available anywhere in any other application or on the internet, free or otherwise.
I'd like to hear how well it works once this weekend has gone by if anyone has it, I'd probably buy it if it works well.

PS I paid for an F1 "live timing" app in 2008 and was absolute cack, because they don't have access to the official data and therefore don't actually have live timing. I can;t see bernie allowing anyone to access his live timing data which is available exclusively on the F1 (TM) site and the F1(TM) app.

I saw this one (or similar) in operation during a race last season.
Its quite fun for the first few laps as you can see all the cars positions on the track, but once they start pitting or getting mixed up, its totally useless as its just a maze of numbers all over the track.
Plus, as I found the guy who had it say. If you've got the time to look at the iphone app during the race, why don't you just watch it on the BBC? No excuse now especially given that you can get tv on your iphone!!

Stated for Blackberry and iPhone earlier. Went off line for an update, comes back this evening with a long list of Blackberry, Nokia, HTC and even LG phones but no iPhone yet.http://mobile.formula1.com/
