Why have they got rid of the timings list on the left of the screen?? I want to be able to see where everyone is when i want, and not when they decide to show the table at the bottom. Is this just some money grabbing way of getting people to spend £20 on the iphone timing app?

I know you can get the times online, but it means you need to sit there with a laptop. It's not the end of the world, but it was so much easier when it was just at the side of the tv screen!

Personally I thought most of us used laptops or at least had a decent phone capable of tinternet access. Don't know why I just have the mental image of the average ph'er using a laptop sitting in front of the tv, occasionally spitting coffee all over appliances.

Wouldn't this just be a "first TV of the year" cockup? I can't imagine there won't be the proper graphics for the race.

No idea, but the official F1 timing app for the iPhone is free. So it's not to get you to buy it.

Also versions for LG, Nokia, SE, Blackberry and others

I thought this too... how annoying! Also they've fiddled with the graphics making them a bit too fussy and unreadable for my liking.

p.s. I also fit the image of the PHer infront of the TV with laptop on knee, coffee on the floor next to me to spit out occasionally.

F1 on TV, laptop on erm... lap! other laptop on OH's lap, drinks around, cat getting in the way... sounds ideal hehe
