Jenson gets to play in a V8
Discussion
So Jenson is out in Melbourne already, meanwhile Lewis has been in LA getting some pussy-cat:

I assume Lewis is going West to Australia!

I wonder how much slower it actually feels than an Formula one car?. Cool find.
I don't care how much slower it is. I would pay good money to see the Aussie V8's over here. I wouldn't pay to see (modern) F1 if my life depended on it.Aused said:

It must be something of the grass being greener on the other side, I'd quite like the BTCC over here. I find the V8s all a bit too samey.
I also enjoy the BTCC, but when the best sounding car is a Ford Focus you'll probably understand why the sound of a grid full of V8's is attractive

V8s are a good spectacle live, but Holdon v Ford is the most boring thing ever to come out of Australia.
Depends on what you mean by "Aussie technology".
The V8SC cars are built to a very tightly-controlled formula (even down to the wheel nuts). Aside from the shell and chassis, there are no similarities between the race cars and their road-car look-alikes. Since each team builds their own cars from scratch -- excluding standard components -- one could say that even if Mercedes and BMW entered the competition, the cars will still be "Aussie technology".
