Rallycross is coming to Channel 4

Just thought I'd let you know - I received an email from the Rallycross organisers yesterday telling me that they've done a deal to televise Rallycross on Channel 4 (times to be announced). It's already on Motors TV (live over Easter).

It's great news - it's great to see it back on terrestrial TV after so many years.

Ha! It's all ex-WRC cars with the wick's turned up now I think - Lawrence Gibson was running a 6R4 last year I think and I'm pretty sure there's an RS200 still running occasionally (but I think the parts are in very short supply?).

I think it's great news - some great racing to look forward to.

It's also the Belgium Rallycross 1st event being held at Lydden over Easter too so there's going to be plenty of action.

Both Martin and Will retired from competing years ago...probably 15 odd at least.

RE the rs200, IIRC this was run by Pat Doran, whilst his son ran his ford fiesta, although i think someone else ran it last year, steve proctor?

How can you get Motors TV these days? I remember it used to be free on Sky, is it now part of their basic package?

Also Motors TV comes as part of the news package on Sky now along with Eurosport.
