how can I watch the whole Malaysian GP not live?

Hi,

I have my stag night on Saturday night and several guests satying over. I don't really want to get up at eight but the only re-run coverage I can find is stupid highlights.

As far as I can see only the highlights are availiable on watch again / iPlayer.

I can't record it becuase Virgin TV "doesn't support" recording devices. I have ordered a V plus box, which will do this and it is being installed next week but that is no good on Sunday!

Any ideas?

Not able to check but doesn't BBC3 or BBC4 do a full race re-run Sunday night? Or Monday if you happen to work in a cave so not hear the result.

I watched the last race again on the BBC website. Full race, not just highlights... To be found on the F1 page. Sure it'll be on iPlayer too.

the problem i found last week was that in trying to find the iplayer re run - you have to see the results on the main F1 page.

Maybe an idea to post on here and ask someone to give you the specific URL for the rerun

If you go straight to bbc.co.uk/iplayer they don't put spoilers on the blurb. There's a box in the middle-centre that links straight to the Sport section.

I'm not saying that Jenson's a communist....

They showed sports updates on the sport multiscreen channel1, the full race (minus the full build up. A precis of qually was included) on channel2 and the highlights on channel3.

The iplayer will show you the full build up and the after race chatter including the Red Button forum.

Now... I wonder if I've got a cable to attach laptop to TV?

Have you got a PS3 or a Wii? If so, watch it directly from the Iplayer on the console.

If not then you should be able to connect the laptop up, if its fairly new it may have an HDMI connector so will connect to most new-ish TVs very easily. If not, virtally all laptops have VGA out and even TV out going straight into the aerial, so should be able to sort something out one way or another.

There is a rerun of the race at 14.25 on BBC 2. I don't think this is the highlights show because it runs for 2 hours.

Anybody who is planning on recording the main programme beware that it will start on BBC1 at 08:00 until 10:00 and then moves to BBC2 from 09:55 to 11:10.

You can torrent most races after the fact. I got the full BBC coverage from start to finish... Good quality too.

I agree with the above about the Sunday afternoon replay, I've just checked the listings, it's the full race replay on BBC2 at 2.25pm until 4.25pm. Race only without long introductions.
