I have booked to watch the Monaco GP in may. I have not been before. Can you wander round the place before the race starts as you can at other circuits, around the infield. I know this is a street circuit so will be different.
Are you tied to the stands for the hole day?
I will be getting the train in on race day. What time is it best to arrive?

Cheers

Free roaming is somewhat limited during the race and there's no "stand and watch zones" as you'd get at a "proper" circuit. That said, you can get a few vantage points stood on top of boxes under the grandstands in some places.

You can go where you like (pits/paddock excepted) before and after the race - including wandering around the jetties in the harbor although you can't leave the grandstand for 30 mins after the race end.

It's more an experience than anything else and avoid over drinking as the loos are sparce!
