Cheeky tts are charging £5 for cycling around the circuit on Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings!

http://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/Silverstone-Su...

Although it's free for ticket holders.

I believe the £5 is going to charity, not to the circuit.

Friday is one of the best days as you get to see the annual Supercar Tour! Usually some lovely motors there, last year there was Evo's Zonda, Mosler etc.
I'm going on Sunday though as I want to see some racing!

Is it practice on the Friday then? No tickets are mentioned on the above link.

Friday has been free the last 4 years, don't expect it to be different this year. They have stewards on the gate but they actually give you a ticket when you go in.
Friday is a good day for a mooch around the paddock as it's dead quiet.

Friday timetable according to Silverstone website:

09:00 09:30 Cooper Tires British F3 Int. Series Free practice 1
09:40 11:00 FIA GT1 World Championship Free practice
11:10 11:50 GT4 European Cup Free practice 1
12:00 13:00 FIA GT3 European Championship Free practice 1
13:00 14:00 Lunch break -
13:15 13:45 Media laps and Supercar Tour -
14:00 14:30 Cooper Tires British F3 Int. Series Free practice 2
14:40 16:00 FIA GT1 World Championship Pre-Qualifying
16:10 16:50 GT4 European Cup Free practice 2
17:00 18:00 FIA GT3 European Championship Free practice 2

Nice, thanks for the heads up. How many cars are on the grid for GT1? Are there many Supercars knocking round the paddock?

If you can take it off I would! It's dead quiet around the paddock so you can often get into the garages and pit lane/pit wall.

RE Supercar Tour, it's usually a great place to see a mix of Supercars, plus there's talk on another thread of the orange Zonda Cinque being there....

I'm a contractor, so the day would cost me MUCH more than just the fuel up there! It's rather quiet on site at the moment though so also hard to sit here doing very little!

You and me both, always fancied GT stuff and I have a new lens to play with.

Can anyone confirm if it is free ?

I believe its a tenner. free parking, free seating and an open paddock. Not bad for £10.
