Why did Louise Goodman keep refering to the engine "in the back" of the Focus - too used to F1 terminology me thinks.

So why are the Focuses so fast in a straight line, do they have more power or have they been allowed more freedom with aerodynamics?

More power from the LPG turbo engine.

Notice the wipers on the Ginetta juniors are too big for the screens.

Someone needs to tell the Cameraman at the end of the Cooper Straight to wipe his lens occasionally.

Race 2 (round 8) has been the best race of the season so far imo? The fight for 2nd was really good!

If Plato and his friends have they're way I think the fords might get they're wings clipped for the next round.

Top work by Chilton smile quite like the Focus LPG Turbo - sounds interesting. Not sure why Plato is so unhappy about them...

Indeed, and he's even more vocal about it off camera! The turbo seems to add a lot more straight line speed than the LPG fuel loses them. Watching Tom Onslow-Cole in race 1 you could see how he was able to pull away on the straight no matter who was alongside him at the start of it.

I went to watch but it was so cold and wet I wussed out to watch race 2 and 3 from the comfort of my sofa. Race 2 was fantastic and race 3 should be interesting too with Neal and Plato heading up from the back.

Chilton has been DQ'd from race 2 due to being underweight in scrutineering.

As above biggrin

So Tom Chilton and his dragster powered Focus will start race 3 from the back of the grid, this could be interesting biggrin
