Advice needed on Tuscan resurrection !!

Hi everyone, am new to this forum.
As part of my collection of cars, I have owned a Tuscan Challenge racing car for the past 9 years. The original plan was to convert it for road use but am now thinking of preparing it for track/race use again. (It has a 4.2 AJP with race throttle bodies fitted, but the installation is not yet fully completed) Could anybody recommend a good garage or race mechanic familiar with Tuscans to complete the engine installation and overhaul anything mechanical that may be necessary? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks Chris

I'd recommend you go with LS7Everything if you're in that neck of the woods. He ran Tuscan's for many years (and TVR GT race cars since), knows Tuscans inside out and has a big stock of Tuscan spares. The latter could be important when the only thing stopping the car being completed is the lack of availability of a Tuscan specific widget....

Rich at Dulford Autos is at Cullumpton, just off M5,

Currently rebuilding car 77, with another coming through, just refurbed one, and run my very reliable Group B car (won c'ship) and marc hockins A car (won c'ship)

They have a massive stock of parts (three containers) for Tuscans.

They are MOST of Ian Flux's crew when he won the C'ship...when it was fast

Highly recommended and sensible pricing. No superstar stuff.

class not championship.... and im not sure Marc managed the A class win, B certainly but not A..

I still think you could do far worse than Racesport (ls7everything) with their experience of Tuscans, T400 at Le Mans and LMES and building / engineering the original and Mosler beating Sagaris GT. Not to mention a brace of LS powered Sagaris road cars.

Denis is unlikely to be cheap, but his engineering is absolutely top notch.

And for the record I'm not connected to them in any way. Nor have they ever sponsored me. Denis did lend me a front upright in 2003 when a hub sheared off my Tuscan at Brands Hatch, but otherwise my recommendation is fully independent

OP, I suggest you talk to a few of those suggested and make up your own mind.

have a word with rich at dulford,helped us sort problems others could not, reliability issues 2008 solved ,class A win 2009. its a race car , not a shopping car, get a cerb for the mall, all the best, hoc
