Good pictures, but a britcar race with 12 cars, why are the grids soo small this year?

Clash with GT Cup at Thruxton? How many of the cars could be run in either series?

It's mainly about the recession, partly about the fact that Croft was a TBA in the calendar for a while, and exacerbated by the attrition at Snetterton 3 weeks earlier.

There are a couple of GT Cup cars that have successfully run a Britcar distance in the past, and a few that have tried/failed, but the majority of the 25-minute machines, and some of the drivers, would not go the 150-minute distance. Endurance racing is a particular skill for car builders, teams, and drivers, and, whilst the Britcar cost/minute ratio is attractive, there are, of course, a lot more minutes involved.
