i am thinking about going to spa in august, it will be my first f1 meeting and i'm thinking about driving over and camping. I like the idea of being with lots of like minded people instead of staying in a hotel. Any advice is welcome. Andy

I don't mean this in a rude way, but it's been discussed so often, that it's one of those rare occasions where the search function is your friend.

And you'll not find a hotel (or campsite) that isn't full of like minded people on race weekend. If you're camping, you'll need to get used to the crazy dutch and their relentless desire for euro dance music.

We were hanging out with the Dutch zat 3am at Le Mans this year. The crazy pot smoking clichés we were with had a good 20 metre long banner as tribute to Tom Coronel who waved at us all every lap with his free hand. The other one was being used to manage the power oversteer on his Spyker.
