Where to sit for SPA GP....

I'm looking at booking tickets to this years SPA GP but have absoluely no idea where to sit - also what are the general admission passes like?
Is there still seating available or are you forced into the grandstands for any seating which would explain why the price is £300 versus £150 for the general admission?
As you can tell I have never been to a GP and dont want to ruin the experience by being stuck in a lousy location!
What would PH reccommend?

You won't get near a grandstand on a general admission ticket.
The place isn't like Silverstone. You literally walk through the forest to get to it and around it.
It's hilly too. What commentators say about Eau Rouge being so steep but you don't realise it until you're there is very true.
I stood at the start of the straight after Eau Rouge for qualifying and at the bus stop for the race.
Don't expect proper seating.

Don't expect it not to rain.

Have a walk around. Amazing track to watch from, amazing track to drive.
Top of Eau Rounge, Pouhol, Blanchimont. Pouhol or however you spell it is a bit weedy at 90 or something compared with F1 taking it without lifting but you should get the idea.

Eau Rogue and Blanchimont taken flat at 130 at truely heart in the mouth stuff.

The wife and I went last year - we sat in the Gold grandstand at Eau Rouge. Truly mind-blowing stuff. There is also a big screen opposite, so you can watch the rest of the action as it happens, and the Gold grandstands have their own toilets / catering etc.
The best of both worlds (IMO) would be general admission for practice / quali and then Eau Rouge for the race.

I did the pit straight the first year I went, Eau Rouge the year after and general admission last year.
The pit straight was fairly dull race wise, but was good to watch the teams in action during the stops.
Eau Rouge was my favourite, but it was expensive. It was great to have a grandstand seat so you knew you could go to the loo without losing your seat
The general admission was great as you get a real taste of the mental european fans (we sat at Pouhon) but you have to get there VERY early to get a decent spot and you can't get anywhere near the top of the circuit (la source, eau rouge) on this ticket. You also need to take fold up chairs so more to carry around.
Personally, if you are only going to go once, sit at Eau Rouge. Use the friday to walk the whole track (and you really do need to be fit) then sit back and enjoy the racing on the sunday. If you are in any doubt as to how steep it is, here is a photo of us at a track day there (and it's awesome to drive up it!!)
Spa shouldn't work as a venue - the food is rubbish and overpriced (buy lunch on the way in at a lovely bakery in the village of Francorchamps), you have to pay 50p to use many of the loos (the portaloos in the F1 village are free), and it's so steep in places it really hurts your calf muscles to walk around, but for some magical reason it is fantastic!
