Teams are already having to design cars around 2010 spec Bridgestone rubber, and are trying their best to fix everything in time, but the FIA are going to screw everything up (again).

Could be his first clash with the teams, and possibly his first poor decision. I don't like the comment about the strong person and noise.

Well to a certain extent he is right, IMO the choice of the spec tire for a series is the responsibility of the governing body. They do need to pull their fingers out and get it resolved quickly though

With the knowledge he has he should be well aware that the teams need to know about the tyres as soon as possible and therefore to have not issued the tender yet is a real mistake on his part. To compound that by then throwing his weight around saying it is up to him and Bernie to decide seems wrong to me.

No, his experience is telling Bridgestone to make tyres to suit his car, and his car only. He did quite well out of that, he did.

I don't think Todt can portray it as a power struggle when the governing body has failed utterly to take the initiative about an issue that's been known for some time. And how can the FIA preach about reducing costs when they leave such fundamental and, compared to some of the recent changes, simple issue so late? Especially as a number of teams are well on with next years development.
