Silverstone 18th september=Renault World Series

Hi all am going to the Renault World Series in september and was after some info on camping and facilities and travel there.
i have never been so any help would be great we are looking to stay friday to sunday for the event and are traveling from bradford west yorkshire.

I've heard it's good racing, but beware I've also heard it gets packed with dirty chavs on the hunt for a freebie

I've been a few times and it's all good fun. There's normally camping available next to the circuit - why don't you google it?

Hamilton fields where fine, its a family field so not fully of chavs.
as for the event itself, its nowhere near as bad as most people make out plus, its free

got my tickets through - only problem is that i cant find anywhere to stay on the saturday night as my 5 year old wants to go both on days.

try travel lodge Towcester, still rooms available but the thieving swined want £99 for Saturday. Buckingham was a cheaper option but all now full.

Yes, it is a great event and yes it will be packed with folks who may never have been to a race before but it sure beats sitting in the stand on your own having paid £25 for the privilidge.

Went last year for the first time... suffice to say I'm going again this year too.

Loads to do besides the racing.

Couldn't imagine camping at Silverstone with the chavs though, fortunately I'm only a short drive away. If you camp, take a football, you should fit right in...

not prepared to pay travelodge £200 for two nights in a room. way overpriced just for somewhere to kip.

could have gone to le mans for that amount of money!!

Try Comfort Inn Milton Keynes (actually in Deanshanger). I've never been so can't comment on quality but it is cheap and local.

There's a premier inn not too far away (about 10miles I think), sorry name escapes me - booked my friend a room last week - £29 per night. Might be worth a punt.

Ramada in Milton Keynes, just looked it up quick and from 18th to 20th its £44. Thats a nice hotel too.
