Why not, it's a road course and the non-oval drivers always do well on them.

Of course. But you'll remember when him and Craig Pillock started BAR, they said they were certain to win their first race and win the championship in the first year.

They didn't **quite** achieve this

Since JV was fourth in his last (and second ever) NASCAR Nationwide race last year, I expect him to do well here - partly because he's got the advantage of plenty of racing miles at Road America, where most everyone else in Nationwide won't have been there before.

Just so long as he doesn't get "in the way" of some of the more bullish NASCAR drivers.

NASCAR always seems to be on Sky channel 190, although I'd reckon it'll be on justin.tv for sure

The sound from this is what I expect a NASCAR Nationwide race at a new track to be like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExcEvZMRm9s

What's more, since it's a conventional circuit the Nationwide series will run if it's raining, they have treaded tyres available and provision to fit a windscreen wiper.

If it starts raining during the race they red flag it to give the teams time to fit said wiper. Happened at Montreal a couple of years back, think it was the first time they had ever run in the rain. You could just tell the organisers were going "oh bugger, we're actually going to have to do this, aren't we?" to themselves hehe

The main series is at Infineon as well, so both races should prove interesting.

I dunno, that's pretty near the "podium" ish... Even if he was at the tail end of a very long lead lap!

Though in F1 25th would put you behind the tea lady hehe

Sounds like JV had a good race. Who knows, maybe he would be good for the show in F1 for a season or two? It's not like he ever had a decent car to compete in after he left Williams.

Caught the last 20 or so laps of the race, and Villeneuve more than held his own until mechanical issues in the last few laps. Very much in contention for the win at one point. Was impressed with Carl Edwards as well.

Yeah, I just have an irrational dislike for JV. No idea why.
