Beause Lightwave discontinued the product, presumably as it was hugely disruptive of the airflow at speed?

Because you really don't care what speed you're doing as long as you're faster than the other guys ?

I seem to remember one of the F1 teams trialing something a few years ago, I think Ferrari. I think Schuberth were involved in trying to incorporate some kind of HUD in Schumachers helmet so they could take some of the detail off the dash.
Although I think it was dropped as this was the time they still had a small dash behind the steering wheel and now everything is on there instead, so was probably ditched as a bad effort. Well, that and the fact it would probably distract the driver!
