Liuzzi wants to go to McLaren

Mclaren have one of the strongest driver partnerships, and a very easy one to market. (Two Brits, both ex champions, seem to have a good fun relationship, drive the team forward well) If i was at Macca i'd be looking to keep that partnership together for as long as possible. Given machinery capeable those two could dominate the formula, as shown by the drivers championship so far this year even with a car thats rarely been the best on the track untill the last couple of GPs.
He is probably better off aiming for ferrari, Mercedes or Red Bull, Schumi wont last forever, and although webber and massa have been signed up i could easily see them being turfed out in a year or so. Mclaren are probably the driver partner ship in the top teams most likely to remain the same for the next 2 or 3 years i'd say.
This is all ignoring the fact that Luizzi has ALOT of work to do before the top teams are considering him...

Been thinking about this, Liuzzi has been under threat from Di Resta for his seat at Force India. Aren't McLaren and Mercedes watching Di Resta's progress very closely? The way I reckon it'll pan out, is Di Resta will race at Force India from 2011 (not sure who they'd get rid of, but so far it has to be Liuzzi. I know he has a contract for next year but so did Kimi at Ferrari. But who knows, Sutil might venture off somewhere else) until Jenson leaves McLaren, either for another team or to call it a day. Then Di Resta would be a sort of understudy (not sure if that's the right word) to Hamilton until he gets bored of F1 and wants to try something new.

Quite. They seem to have the fastest, hardest charger and demon overtaker, with the calm, measured, thinker. Polar opposites and the best for all situations.Back to the 80's for McLaren methinks, not that they really ever left...
Liuzzi couldn't even get in as a test driver as they have the best around for that too.
Italy? I dare say Liuzzi is a bit more internationalised than most Italians. 
Good on him. It's possible, perhaps even plausible, but not right now. Button and Hamilton are a dream pairing, both from a performance angle and the marketing angle for the British. As long as those two drivers can reasonably co-exist, Liuzzi has no chance. He's got the talent to take a shot, but this is not the time.
