Just a thought - it may be an oppurtunity for some of the active Challenge drivers to promote the series to the more serious track day fraternity ?
I know Reidy's on holiday then , but some form of Dunlop Tuscan Challenge presence/display could be organised.

you probably just need a car polished up with a couple of garlands on it and some pics. Also to really make the point try and make it a Tuscan which when out on the track really shows its colours against the road cars.

To really make it work though you need someone who can communicate well with the General public, really putting across the excitment of racing and enticing others to join in....im thinking someone lucid, eloquent and a real ambassador for the series......therein lies the problem wink

the small print says this comment is tongue in cheek...

and if we are really taking it seriously to tempt more drivers of road-going TVRs to start racing, then we should have a Class A AJP Tuscan + Kevan's Tuscan, a Class B Griffith and a Class C Tasmin, the latter 3 to advertise the fact that former road-going TVRs are raced.
However all this is predicated on market research - how laerge is the attendance likely to be and what is the aim?
If we are really pushing for a TVR race car stand, then Graham Walden is the obvious guy to head it up + suitable ambassador drivers as Owen says. Richard

Need to work out what else I've got on and what holiday I have left.

May well be doing this but I'll give the race car a rest and take my Tuscan. Just got to check my insurance before booking.

If anyone wants to arrive at Oulton on Monday and stay over or drop off cars - contact TVRCC track day co-ordinator Sean Lacey "trackdays@tvrcc.com" and he should be able to arrange it.

This will be a good oppurtunity to bring out the race cars in an all Tivver atmosphere - i'll be using the day to get some relaxed track time prior to Rockingham.
