Afternoon all,

Just wondering if anyone has got a 'narrow top' MT75 gearbox suitable for the v6 cosworth engine? Ours is a little worse for wear after Brands!

Thanks in advance.

Can you not get it serviced in time.
a S/H one could also give you problems, as they are all quite old, and you would not 100% know its condition.
If its fixed and maybe uprated, you would at least know it should be ok.

Not sure Leigh - the bellhousing was split when we bought the car! We got it welded but it's split again... The gear selection has never been great since we bought the car, so a 2nd hand one wouldn't really be worse, lol! And we need new selectors for the box after Brands but unsure where to get them from? Plus, given that from the gearbox backwards in the drivetrain is on the floor, would prefer a straight swap!

I have one in my scrap 280, but its still in the car, and that's still at home at not in the workshop. plus not 100% on the condition, AFAIK it was all working. it's on connected to a 2.8 12v
