Thats an interesting one. Who has entered a Marcos, is it the one that has been doing the Aston Martin GT series? I have always thought that a link between Marcos and TVR could help numbers as I used to race a Marcos. Whilst one or two might grumble, Marcos and TVR are probably two of the most iconic British Sports car producers along with Morgan all of whom have had one make series. It would be quite good to have a Marcos class IMHO.

Also they shared some of the same engines, and would expect they are similar weights, would be better than racing with the intermarks

Doug raced with us once at rockingham in what is now keith's car he was not impressed with tasmin's RACING!!!!! door handle to door handle. I remember the barbie tasmin and what is now leigh's car ( i think you know who the drivers were) going either side of him around one of the corners in the infield section.

IIRC it wasnt doug who got upset it was the other partner at DG in The Griff they had as well. He qualified mid pack, and got swamped by some very competitive tasmins used to leaning on each other. I think we all expected him to be a bit quicker and he got tagged by two cars in 2 corner..

If it Is Doug I'd expect him to be competitive as he's got a lot of experience in the marcos.

Doug registered for the series earlier this month and Mallory is not too far away. I put 2 and 2 together and arrived at 7.

Extract from todays BRSCC Mallory Preview Report just released:
" . . . The Dunlop TVR Challenge will start the second half of their season on Sunday. In Class A Hugh Marshall’s late withdrawral may leave the way open for rival Dean Cook to steal a march on him. Class B's Keith Vaughan Williams won last time out at Brands Hatch but will be challenged at Mallory by Leigh Jones' Tasmin which is certainly on the pace. John Simpson & Dave Chant seem intent on swapping places in every race in Class C but their on-going battle may give an opportunity to the likes of Billy Thompson and Dave Stewart . . ."

Who writes this stuff! wink

I wish I was at your pace.
Better than putting nothing, esp as they have a lot of series to cover.
Maybe we can speak to them, and have someone at our end write the reports for them.

You should have read the programme. I think it was explained in there that "like-minded" cars can run in an invitation class.

Yep the marcos was running in the invitation class, we've had all sorts join us over the years, TR8, morgan, marcos etc. anything with a similar ethos and pace can run ininvitation.

Made for a cracking race from where i was sat :-)
