Brundle and Royalty

Does anybody else have a little imaginary chuckle to themselves that the great and good of International Royalty have a competition amongst themselves to get on Brundle's grid walk?

I loved watching him bump into Charlie boy at the Silverstone and basically Brundle-ise the conversation with him into "Wotchas Charlie, you enjoying yourself? Good, good, now if you wouldnt mind, just budge over there I want a word with Damon".

Then he finds another of the Arab chaps he usually says hello to in the (Edited by DJC: bugger better change this, they currently pay me!) traditional outfit of gentlemen gettup out East. Im sure they are all on the phone to each other saying how many times they get on a grid walk and that you arent *real* Royalty until Martin Brundle has barged the German bird out of the way to get you live on the BBC.

There was an interesting one a few years ago a Spain. Brundle had a previous year taken the King of Spain around in a 2 seater F1 car, something he quite enjoyed. This time around they bump into each other on the grid during the gridwalk. The King of Spain mentions he enjoyed the ride and askes Brundle whether he's still on the same phone number, Ha!

The Duke of Kent is Prince Michael's father not brother.

No he's not. They are brothers. Their father was Prince George, Duke of Kent who was killed on 25 August 1942 when the Short Sunderland flying boat in which he was a passenger crashed into a hillside near Dunbeath, Caithness in bad weather.

And the scars are still on the hillside where it went in, it was near Berridale a bit south of Dunbeath.

There have been a few Short Sunderlands hit the hills around the North of Sutherland / south Caithness.
