Vitaly or Kimi?
Discussion
It seems the latest rumour involving the Iceman is him to Renault to partner Bobby K as the team is seemingly very competitive indeed with both Vitaly and Robert performing well with the car, but as we know the young Russian has been impressive this year for a rookie (Anyone remember the fun Algesuari had thanks to his testing being 2 whole straight line runs?) and it would seem a shame to drop him at this stage but as we know Kimi would probably get better results is he had enough of a prod.
So which one are we likely to see in the Renault alongside RK next year, the Finn or the Russian?

If Briatore does indeed still manage him, could you really see him at Renault?

"I don't miss Formula One and I am enjoying what I am doing now," said Raikkonen last weekend. "I have still not decided what I am doing next year yet. Soon I have to decide, maybe it will be just after Rally Finland."

Very interesting. He is happy to stay in WRC but clearly he has a choice to make between something. Maybe a team has offered him an F1 seat? Vitaly brings sponsorship but I bet Raiokonnen brings more.

Petrov has I think done a good enough job to deserve a seat for next year - but I have to admit that if I were Renault and Kimi was available (and it wouldn't break the bank) then I would take him over the russian in a heartbeat. Vitaly might be a promising enough talent but Kimi is a proven race winner with a WDC in his trophy cabinet.

I cant really see renault turning petrov and his sizeable sponsorship cheque away, even if it was for kimi
Petrov didn't bring any big sponsorship money with him to Renault, it's his own personal money that has paid for his drive - http://www.crash.net/f1/news/156467/1/petrov_i_did...With Mastercard rumoured to be joining the sponsor list he may still drive for them - http://www.thesportreview.com/tsr/2010/07/vitaly-p...
