Aussie V8's mate - best saloon racing on at the moment imho.

Great (fair) racing, great commentary, great noise, great cars, great driver interviews while they're on the lap after the Cheq flag.

What's not to like?

BTCC is utter rubbish by comparison

Unless you think Matt Neal punting people off at every corner (and never being penalised) is motor racing.

Add the fact the cars are as dull as you can imagine, I mean a Chevrolet Cruze or Lacetti.....

British touring cars used to be a great series with great drivers and cars, it now has dull cars and half the field are not remotely decent drivers

theres a hell of a lot thats better than the dross that is the current BTCC.

give me Legends, Ma5da, CNC Heads sports and saloons and many other club racing series over the BTCC. he only races i'm interested in on the ITV 4 coverage is the Ginetta G50s and juniors.

Totally O/T - but how did you set the youtube link up to start at 5 mins?

I've spotted the url 't=5m', but was interested if you manually entered that or not?

Ta muchly.

Mmm - Big Bangers - yep does make the BTCC seem like hairdryers - those turbos are going to be so quite when the whole grid is full of them. Get rid of them all and have these cars - it is all bout entertainment - next to no manufactures now.

Mmm - 650bhp smile

Can't imagine Neal or Plato being nice and give back the position when they punt cars left, right and centre.

V8SC is the best touring car series in the world. BTCC is good if you enjoy that sort of thing. I like hard racing, panel bashing, call it what you will but admittedly it does put me off when cars are blatently punted off and nothing gets done about it.

There is more contact in the v8 utes than in any touring car series.

yes i have to agree that neal and plato are rough drivers but at the race in oulton park all three races there were 10 cars that were within 3-5 secounds of each other and both neal and plato where taken out or nocked of at some point. All series have lost manfactures wtcc only has chervolet has a manfactuer seat and bmw is half manafactuer and half private, DTM has only 2 want a boring race sereis, i do like aussie V8 but i find the races far to long to be a touring car champonship and cars to tend to spread themself out. The btcc has 6 different makes and 22 cars so the series is the only worthwhile race to see on tv

V8 supercars is the best tin top racing that is commonly known.

I think the utes may be more your style Chris, alot more crashing annbashing. Races are short too.

Something you don't see in the BTCC - proper cars?

Standing by the M1 for half an hour is likely to bemore inspiring than the BTCC IMO. The bumping and crashing is the only reason anyone seems to still watch it.
