Fuel nicked at Mallory

Just to give you guys a heads up, Jamie and I had fuel nicked out of our cars at Mallory while parked overnight in the paddock.

And Jamie's car was covered.

They wouldn't be much in them would there?

Out of my road Sagaris and Jamie's racing Tuscan, both were parked next to each other.

thankfully no damage to either car, they just left my filler cap off, lucky it didn't piss down. I was more worried that they might have stuck something nasty in the tank but thankfully all was ok.

Phew glad I got a lock for my top box with all my fuel in it.
Last few races I've not had one and had 60 litres of fuel in it.
I thought the place was quite Secure, esp as you need to get across the track to get to the paddock, and you needed a vehicle pass.

did not think this thing went on, esp as everyone is in the same boat at club level.

less than 40 yards to my trailer box 60 litre fuel no lock, how lucky was i !
always amazes me when this sort of thing happens, i think a trailer was nicked at anglesey in 2008, must have been "chav's motorsport"

Which night was that, if it was Sunday were you staying over from the Moggies or there for something on Monday?

Saturday Night or early Sunday morning, so like Tim says probably someone from one of the chavvs series that were also racing Sunday.

The trouble is it only takes one arse to give a lot of people a bad name.

Tim Hood is based around the corner to Mallory and has had a Transit nicked and his artic trailer broken into just for starters. If it isn't nailed down it will walk. The local constabulary apparently know the likely culprits, who hail from a part of the community who 'travel'. On that basis it is unlikely to be race people.

Donington has had similar issues. Ask Steve Glynn about his excursion into their camp in the field near the entrance a few years ago....

Absolutely, the trouble I had getting in!!! Then they go and let any old tea leaf in. Makes you wonder about the gate security.

The following weekend I just drove straight into the paddock at Snetterton without seeing a soul on the gates.

take your pick and it also doesn't help their image when they drive around the paddock quicker than they do on track.
