Jake, you wont be missed. F1 Forum should be interesting with Lee keeping EJ, DC and MB in check.

I think Jake does a good job to be honest, not saying Lee won't do as good a job and be easy on the eyes but its probably a bit harsh to say Jake won't be missed. Jake, you wont be missed. F1 Forum should be interesting with Lee keeping EJ, DC and MB in check.
Legard on the other hand, I've tried not to let him bother me but his constant interruptions are really getting annoying now.
Did anyone hear Jake on radio1 before the German grand prix? I sent a text saying "pleasse tell him he's doing a cracking job" and Chris moyles read it to him - I was oddly chuffed about that.
Anyway, I agree Jake's superb in that role and I think Lee is good in her role. Not sure how she'd transfer over, to be honest, will be interesting to see though!

When I said "Jake, you wont be missed" I only meant it in a fashion that we get to see the lovely L McKenzie more. Jake IS a very good host. Does well at interviews and the general circus that is the BBC F1 show. Seems to keep the Style Icons in check.
Definately a better host that Rosenthal or Rider (I feel sorry for Rider who was bumped into doing BTCC coverage)

Not sure if this is the usual Daily Mail's pack of lies. I feel the same as most of you; I think Jake is doing a really good job and could see him as the long-term stalwart of F1. If it is true however, he will be getting a good (looking) replacement. Pleasant.
it's only temporary but it is on both of their twitter pagesHmmm.
It is a good thing that the BBC are assessing their staff and are getting a back up in place, it's a shame they can't do it in other areas too. A new partner for Martin Brundle, for us to assess perhaps?
It's a shame they don't give Ted a go at commentating.
Mind you, the beeb seem to be sooo protective of Legard that they would probably put some C nt like Micheal Winner in the commentary box just so the audience would be asking for Legard back.

Isn't that what they did with James Allen?
I was not a fan of Jake at first. Far too much of the school captain of every sport and all round jock about him for me. That said I have to say he is doing a very good job and I'm starting to appreciate more than just his technical skills.
Re Slimey Steve. If you knew more about the man away from the camera you'd know that sorrow is one of the last emotions that should ever be wasted on the odious scumbag.
