Chilton fastest in FP1.
Phil Glew returns in a NGTC engined Leon and was 16th fastest. I guess itl take a while to set the car up properly with a different type of engine in there.

And what is it with the drivers being allowed to run off the track at Copse all the time, it looks bloody stupid! nobody wants to see races decided by penalties but surely the stewards should do something about this?!
Its unbelievable that they get away with it, it was the same at Snetterton. We were all given a lecture by the coc when we were there, more than 3 laps with all 4 wheels off the circuit ( over the white line) and it was in for a drive through. the bumper cars a week later were well off the circuit every lap!!!
its like straight lining a chicane, I think its called cheating..

I'd say the same could be levelled at:-- Being given an engine with a clear power advantage
- 'nudging' someone's rear when they're fully-loaded mid-corner
- Being Matt Neal!

In short, this series strikes me as one for amateurs who don't understand what the word 'respect' means...
As well as Copse cheating the on board just now shows them cutting Brooklands. All 4 wheels beyond the circuit limits White line.
It's not surprising the BTCC is full of nudging and cheating when the feeder series let them do it.
I'd like to see all the hatches that have deliberately gone wide at Copse for 2 consecutive laps DQ'd. Perhaps they might learn then.
